Location: Maui Inn at Sugar Beach is a tropical retreat on the sunny side of Maui in a quaint beachfront town named Kihei. This property has five beautiful suites all in one building.

A penthouse with 4 large bedrooms plus the ground floor offers three spacious 1 bedroom suites. Each one-bedroom suite is equipped with king size beds, full-service kitchens, tile floors, private lanai, beautiful garden view, and more. Business and leisure travelers both can also enjoy the convenient benefits of wireless internet access, fax machine, phone jack, copier and delivery service.

This makes your own tropical resort with 1 bedroom suites and a 4 bedroom penthouse. You can reserve the entire Inn for the ultimate family or group vacation. Everyone will feel at home and enjoy tons of amenities that make your vacation very comfortable and convenient.

Getting There
Exit the Kahului Airport (This is Dairy Road) follow until Hwy 311 (Mokulele Hwy). Turn Left and follow the highway (about 8 miles) until it dead ends into South Kihei Road. Turn Left and follow 1 mile. Turn Left on Wailana Place (Mile Marker 1) to 26 Wailana Place.

Time: About 15 Minutes

Ma Poina 'Oe Ia'u Beach Park - (Also referred to as Sugar Beach)
This beach whose name means "Forget Me Not," is the beginning of the many, narrow beaches of Kihei. Dedicated to veterans, this a great spot for both swimming and wading. The park includes many amenities like restrooms, showers and picnic tables

In Depth Maui is the only island in the Hawaiian chain named after a god -- well, actually a demigod (half man, half god). Hawaiian legends are filled with the escapades of Maui, who had a reputation as a trickster. In one story, Maui is credited with causing the birth of the Hawaiian Islands when he threw his "magic" fishhook down to the ocean floor and pulled the islands up from the bottom of the sea. Another legend tells how Maui lassoed the sun to make it travel more slowly across the sky -- so that his mother could more easily dry her clothes. Maui's status as the only island to carry the name of a deity seems fitting, considering its reputation as the perfect tropical paradise, or as Hawaiians say, Maui no ka oi ("Maui is the best").

Maui is the second largest island in the Hawaiian chain providing miles and miles of diverse cultures, climates, and landscapes. From the black, white, red, and gold sand beaches to the pastoral village of Heavenly Hana to the soaring sea cliffs and seven sacred pools, Maui has something for everyone. It is no wonder that this sun-drenched island has been voted the "Best Hawaiian Island".
